Basic chromic sulfate use and preparation

Purpose:
Basic chromic sulfate is mainly used for tanning leather . Raw material for the production of chromium hydroxide . Industrial dye used in the production of reactive black dye . Printing and dyeing industry as a mordant .
Preparation :
Basic chromic sulfate production methods are mainly organic reduction and sulfur dioxide reduction . Sodium dichromate organic reduction mother liquor solution of sodium hydrogen sulfate (40 ~ 42 ° Bé) or sulfuric acid in a lead-lined or glass-lined reactor equipped with a stirrer with stirring , after acidification , the reducing agent is added slowly with stirring sucrose , the reduction of hexavalent chromium , the reaction solution was maintained at the end of boiling , is conducive to complete the reaction.
The reaction product is viscous syrupy solution, add water, the solution concentration was adjusted to 40 ~ 42 ° Bé, first by natural cooling , then the cooling crystallizer chilled to below 10 ℃ , so that part of sodium sulfate crystals to generate mirabilite , centrifugal separation , the system product liquid is obtained basic chromium sulfate , and then concentrated and dried to obtain a solid product of basic chromium sulfate .
